Big Bear | Summer 2013

This week, we got to spend a few days in Big Bear with good friends.

We spent some time boating on Big Bear Lake. Lucy was a little hesitant about the boat at first-but she really wound up having a good time.

Later, we went on an excursion to the Discovery Center. Henry loved playing the xylophone and Lucy loved dancing on the little stage while he played.

After a while, Henry joined Lucy on the dance floor. Lucy showed off her “Stop, in the Name of Love” dance move.

Later, somewhat unexpectedly, Mike pretended to be a deer while Henry wrote Lucy a love poem on the chalkboard.

Then, we went on a real hike. Henry did substantially more walking than Lucy did, but everyone took a turn carrying a little hiker.

Henry was willing to get a cute picture with Lucy on the log; Lucy was a little more reluctant.

Mike-master of all he surveys. This picture is not posed; that’s just how he stands in the wild.

Aunt Katie - These are so adorable. I love the one of Lucy dancing while Henry plays 🙂 Does Henry’s lifejacket say “HO Sports”? I thought it was H2O, but I see no 2…

Connie Reams Lauterbach - The boat ones remind me so much of Paul at that age.
They are all so precious.

Mike - If you look closely, you’ll see the r doubles as a 2. Quite subtle.

Great photos, guys! we had a blast.

Granma - Lucy and Henry are SO CUTE together. I love the one where they are looking at each other on the boat. The look on Henry’s face on the log When Lucy is being reluctant is priceless!
Thanks for sharing!
