For most of her life, Lucy has been involved in some sort of childcare swap. With her third birthday approaching, we thought it would be fun to celebrate with this group of two and three year olds that Lucy gets to spend so much time with.
Grandma Connie and Papa Norman came to help. We definitely would not have been able to pull off this little party without them!
We did a lot of painting and drawing, just like we enjoy doing at swap.
Then it was lunch time, with sandwiches courtesy of Grandma Connie!
After that was a cake, which Amy and Lucy had prepared the night before. Also, we learned that when you’re nearly three and you blow all the candles out, it’s cause for a big celebration.
Then came the pinata. Don’t worry, we didn’t beat up on Elsa. Instead, our huge Frozen pinata gently handed out treats to the assembled children.
By the end of the morning, most people had grown mustaches. It was…unexpected.
